I loved the look of freshly fallen snow though not as keen on the icy roads but the big melt was just plain awful. Lumps of grey slush everywhere and loads of litter that has been dropped then covered with snow only to be revealed as the snow melted. We've gone from clean white to dirty grey!!!

Lucky you've only got litter. The local dog-walkers down here let the snow
cover up the little heaps. Have to be careful when I go to get my daily
paper!!

I know exactly what you mean Bob, our house is about a milkshake or a portion of fries from the Drive Through McDonalds in Hazel Grove.

Still waiting for the Big Melt over here:

View of Stavanger Harbour - the arrows are pointing to the watering holes (some of) visited when Dicky was over here a couple of months ago.

The local river frozen almost solid

The harbour (sea water) frozen over in Sandnes

My back garden - roll on the thaw!!

We had much the same in my back garden.... over two feet of the stuff, but the wind veered and is now warmer. Was -19gC last week, now a roasty-toasty +5DegC.... and the place is getting a bit soggy. Road out from Edinburgh yesterday was awash in places....
My Good Lady is now regretting the opportunity of further sledging with the grandchildren on the hill opposite.... not sure who the biggest kids are!

Al.
