god sent me 8" of snow in just under an hour today... guess what, the world as I know it stopped, motorists tried in vain to drive their silly little cars up huge big hills, kids chucked snow balls at passing cars and it took me 2hrs to drive 3miles. hurray, don't i just hate snow!!!

Anyone wanna buy a bucket full??

more to the point anyone wanna swap a rear wheel drive BMW for a 4x4..... I'll even throw in the useless snow chains that I bought from Halfords for 60quid that are a sod to get onto the wheel and cause your hands to freeze coz you cant put them on while wearing gloves, oh and did I mention the really good selling point of them ripping off the trim of your car if happen to leave one chain unlocked by accident...... any offers?

I have a green l/rover (HS TUM winterized and waterproofed) if you want one. LOL they have four snow chains. But then we have not had any snow, here just a little cold and lots of sunshine. Best to move south to devon..

Not quite 8" here but just as bad, roads not gritted, and lots of hills and inclines!

Mark, can't you fit him out with one of those little tracked jobbies (a BV?) on the cheap!

This shot was taken yesterday afternoon just before the sun went down at about 2.30pm It is a 11th Century church sitting in a field about a mile from my home. I took the image as part of a series for a calendar producer. The place is called Low Friarside Chapel and there is a beautiful cottage to rent right next to this owned by an ex-met copper. he will do a great deal for anyone of you that might want to visit the area next year. The cottage is right next to a small river and very near to Rowlands Gill where you can get most things at tesco. The Metro Centre is 15 minutes by car, Newcastle about 25mins by car and the airport about the same by car. visit www.lowfriarsidefarm.co.uk

Speaking of snow!! I'll swap my 10" for your 8'' if you like George. Mind you, we here in Canada don't expect it all to fall in 1 hour we like to spread it out over 24 hours. You can borrow my AWD c/w snow tires if you want. Cost you shipping and handling though. Merry Christmas.
