Adding Text AND Images

First a quick explanation about Images (drawings/photos). These cannot be loaded directly onto the website but have to stored on an external site. Rab has kindly made things relatively easy for us by integrating this into the New Topic section.

First I'll take the example of transferring an email with a image to a New Post.

Open the email

Save the picture by pointing at the picture and right clicking once
Select Save image as.. from the dialogue box

Save the image to a folder on your computer (remember where this is stored)

The image you want is now stored on your hard drive. Do the same to add several images to your hard drive.

Copy the entire mail text by marking the text so that it turns blue (hold down left mouse key and pull over the text). Press and hold Ctrl and C (ctrl+C) to copy the text to memory.

Open a new post in the Intrepid website

Add a title - for example "Original Computer"

Paste in the email text by pressing and holding Ctrl and then V button(Ctrl+V). The text will appear on screen (without the picture).

Adding the picture

Find the "Host an image" button

Click this button - the following dialogue box appears:

Click Choose File and select the file you just saved and click Open

The programme will then give you the picture file location which must be copied and pasted into the post.

Select the bottom code by clicking once on it (it will turn blue) Copy this (Ctrl+C)

The locate the "image" button and press this:

In the dialogue box which appears paste the image location (Ctrl+V) and press OK

Press Preview to check the result. You will find that the image is at the bottom of the text. This can be moved to the right position by marking the image information code at the bottom and pressing Ctrl+X. Place the cursor where you want the image then press Ctrl+V to paste the information.

Press Preview to check the result before you Send.
